Expect heavy rain in the country from late tomorrow going into Thursday and Friday.
Acting Director of the Nadi Weather Office, Aminiasi Tuidraki said this is a major concern as they continue to monitor Tropical Cyclone Pam which is located near Solomon Islands almost 1,200 kilometres North West of Nadi.
Tuidraki said the Category 1 cyclone is expected to intensify to a Category 3 system as it passes between Vanuatu and Fiji.
People have been urged to take precautions as Fiji is expected to experience the indirect effects of the tropical cyclone from late tomorrow.
This will include winds of upto 50 to 80 kilometres per hour.
