People are being requested to adhere to the weather advisories being issued by authorities regarding Tropical Cyclone Pam.
Acting Chief Operations Officer ACP Biu Matavou said Police officers in all divisions have been instructed to ensure they have the necessary resources and manpower available to conduct operations for when Fiji is expected to experience the indirect effects of the tropical cyclone from tomorrow as indicated by the Fiji Meteorological Office.
ACP Matavou at the same time is pleading for everyone's assistance in adhering to the advisories being issued by authorities, as in the past, lives have been lost as people defy warnings and continue to do things that have been advised against.
He said parents and guardians are also reminded to keep a close eye on their children and ensure their whereabouts is known at all times.
