The Nadi Weather Office said windy and cool conditions are expected to continue for the next few months.

Director, Ravind Kumar said due to the El Nino event, the weather is influenced by high pressure systems and this is the main reason for the cold and dry air over Fiji.

Kumar added that the number of rainy days is most likely to gradually increase as we move into the wet season.

However, some parts of Fiji may not receive much rain in November and December.

Kumar said the current trend of dry weather condition is expected to progress through to December especially in the Western and Northern Divisions.
