44-year-old, Ro Filipe Kepa who is facing three counts of rape and one count of pornographic activity relating to offences allegedly committed against a 17-year-old, remains in custody.

Kepa was granted bail Tuesday afternoon however he needs to get a reliable surety and pay his bail of $500 and bond of $500 before he is released from custody.

Fijivillage has received confirmation that Kepa will remain in custody again tonight as the surety did not turn up with sufficient funds to pay the $1,000.

Kepa cannot reside in Sigatoka according to the bail conditions.

He allegedly raped the 17-year-old on three different occasions between 2013 to 2015.

Fijivillage has received information that Kepa is also under investigation for other alleged rape cases.

A number of videos were allegedly discovered in his hard drive which was recovered by police during the investigation.

Meanwhile Principal Administrative Officer for the Opposition Office, Mick Beddoes said Opposition Leader, Ro Teimumu Kepa will not make any comments at this stage.
