9 families who are squatting on the Nasinu Land Purchase and Housing Cooperative Limited land in Laqere Nasinu are still refusing to move from the area.
Land Purchase Unit Cooperative CEO Muni Deo says 19 families have relocated to another area in Nadawa.
Deo says this has been offered by the government with the submission made that this land will be used to resettle the people living on their land.
He says they are awaiting a judgement from the High Court on February 12th.
Deo says some squatters are claiming that this is their ancestral land.
150 residential and six commercial lots will be developed in Laqere.
The planned development will cost $2.5 million.
