The Fiji Football Association will make a decision on the 7th of next month in relation to the Nadroga soccer team’s protest against Rewa in the Vodafone Premier League for fielding an ineligible player.

The Fiji FA will hold it’s board meeting on the 7th of next month and this is when Nadroga’s fate will be decided.

Nadroga who finished at the bottom of the points table with nine points has also filed a third party protest in relation to the Nadi‑Labasa and Nadi‑Dreketi matches where Nadi managed to collect four points.

According to the points table, Nadroga will be relegated as they have the lowest points.

If the decision of the protest against Rewa goes in Nadroga’s favor and Nadi’s four points are forfeited, then Nadroga will stay in the Premier competition while Nadi will be relegated to the senior competition.

Nadroga soccer is claiming that Nadi fielded Martin Nasova against Labasa and Dreketi, a player who had already obtained a release to play for Nadroga this season.

Nadroga is also saying that Tevita Waranivalu should have not played for Rewa against them as he was carrying a suspension.

Rewa won this match.

Meanwhile, Rewa will be unaffected by any outcome as they have 29 points and even if they lose three points, the Delta Tigers will still sit in second place as Lautoka has 24 points.
