With less than two weeks to the SUDAMERICA 7s, members of the Fiji Babas 7s-extended squad continue to work hard as the squad could will be reduced to 16 at the end of this week.

Interim coach Naca Cawanibuka says they will be sending a developing team to the tournament in Argentina and Chile.

Cawanibuka says this will provide good depth to the national 7s side as they focus on the World Sevens Series which resumes next month in Wellington.

Meanwhile, former national 7s coach Joe Savou is likely to take the team to South America.

The team will break camp again this weekend before the squad is reduced to 12 next week.

Only 12 players will be picked for the final team.

Some of the players who are in the extended squad are Apisai Domolailai, QVS Under 18 captain Kinivuai Veitata, Alifereti Veitokani, Amenoni Nasilasila and Vatemo Ravouvou.

Meanwhile, the tournament will feature teams from Argentina, USA, Canada, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia and Fiji.

The tournament will be played on the 6th and 7th of next month in Argentina and the 14th and 15th of next month in Chile.
