The body of a 73-year-old man was recovered from the Navua River yesterday.

The victim was from Nakavu Village and he was reported missing by family members on Monday.

A search was conducted on Monday with negative results and the search continued yesterday morning along the Navua river where a group of villagers managed to retrieve the victim's body.

A post-mortem will be conducted soon.
