Prison escapee, Deshwar Dinesh Dutt who has been on the run since the 15th of December, is now in custody after he was arrested by a Police Team earlier this morning.

Chief of Operations ACP Rusiate Tudravu confirms that Dutt was arrested in Vuda.

Two men aged 18 and 23 years from Vuda were taken in last night and they later gave Dutt’s whereabouts.

Dutt and the two men from Vuda are currently being questioned by Police.

A 50‑year‑old man is also in custody for his alleged involvement in aiding Dutt.

The suspect is alleged to have assisted Dutt in moving around the Western Division.

Police have already charged Dutt’s wife and lawyer with one count each of aiding a prisoner to escape.
