A 45-year-old church usher who allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl at a church in Delainavesi in November 2016 appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
It is alleged that Atunaisa Wakana raped the girl between the 1st to the 30th of November 2016.
According to the summary of facts the girl had arrived early for mass.
It is alleged that the girl had walked into church to say her rosary when the accused forcefully took her to the toilet.
The girl had kicked the man to stop him however he had given her a blow on the head which had resulted in her falling unconscious.
When she regained consciousness, she found herself naked and her clothes were on the floor.
The case has been called on the 19th of this month for mention.
