The Fiji Roads Authority says they are now looking at two options for the future of the Tamavua-i-Wai Bridge.

This has been confirmed by FRA’s Chief Executive Officer, Jonathan Moore.

Fijivillage had earlier approached FRA on what they have planned for the Tamavua-i-Wai Bridge.

FRA had stated that they will be constructing a modular bridge next to the Tamavua-i-Wai Bridge.

Moore now says the Tamavua-i-Wai Bridge is okay and will stand for now.

He says the two options are to either repair the bridge and let it stand for another few years or to replace the bridge completely.

Moore says FRA is yet to make a decision on what option they would be going for.

Meanwhile the new Vatuwaqa Bridge will officially open next Wednesday while the new Stinson Bridge is set to officially open next Thursday.
