Concerns have been raised by a representative of the Laxmi Narayan Temple in Nabua that people are openly having sex in a vacant piece of land in Nabua.

Rajesh Narayan raised this with the Police Commissioner during the public forum in Nakasi last night.

He says that he had invited a station officer from Nabua in 2016 to look into the issue but nothing was done.

Narayan says the vacant land had a small shed just behind the temple opposite Foodtown Supermarket in Nabua.

He says he saw a group of people smoking marijuana in the area and reported this to police yesterday.

Narayan says parents are scared to take their children to a nearby pre-school.

Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho has assured Narayan that he will look into the issue.
