Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho has issued a stern warning to those that receive or buy stolen items.
Qiliho highlighted this during the public forum on the desecration of temples at the Shree Gopal Sadhu Hanumaan Gadhi Mandir in Nakasi on Tuesday night.
He says they will not rest until they catch the people who break into houses and they will go for everyone who receives the stolen property, including those that buy and sell the stolen items.
Qiliho has also apologized to people if Police have been slow as files have not been closed and Police will continue to work relentlessly to catch the culprits.
Meanwhile, the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has also highlighted that there is always a market for stolen items.
Sayed-Khaiyum says people who snatch items know that there is a market as someone is buying these items at half the price.
