French rugby club Bordeaux has confirmed the signing of All Black and Crusaders wing Setareki Tamanivalu on a three‑year deal.

According to stuff.co, Tamanivalu has signed a three‑year deal through to the 2021 season and would join Bordeaux on November 1 this year after he completed his Super Rugby commitments.

Tamanivalu has played three tests for the All Blacks, all in 2016, and appeared in two non‑internationals in last year's Northern tour.

He joins the growing list of second‑tier New Zealand internationals jumping at offers in the Northern game ahead of the 2019 World Cup.

Tamanivalu joins Chiefs duo Liam Messam who is with Toulon, Charlie Ngatai who’s with Lyon and Blues mid‑fielder George Moala who is with Clermont in signing with French clubs post the 2018 Super Rugby season.
