The All Blacks Sevens team has made two changes ahead of the Hamilton Sevens with Andrew Knewstubb ruled out with concussion and Kurt Baker out with injury.
Joe Webber and Caleb Clarke are coming into the fold for Knewstubb and Baker.
The Kiwis finished fifth in Sydney, failing to meet expectations after making the final in Dubai and winning the Cape Town 7s.
They lost their quarter‑final to hosts Australia but went on to beat England 10‑5 and Fiji 31‑7 to secure fifth position.
New Zealand is pooled with France, Scotland and Argentina in the Hamilton 7s
Fiji will take on Wales in their first game at 11.36am Saturday, they will then face Spain at 3.02pm before taking on Australia at 6.50pm Saturday.
