Category 1 Tropical Cyclone Josie continues to move away from the Fiji group but a heavy rain alert remains in force for Fiji.
There is a heavy rain warning in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
A strong wind warning remains in force for the rest of Fiji.
A flood alert remains in force for low lying areas, small streams and areas near Vatukacevaceva to Rakiraki Town, Votualevu to the Nadi river and Vatutu to Nadi Town.
The centre of Tropical Cyclone Josie was located 290 kilometres south of Kadavu earlier this morning.
The Nadi Weather Office says the cyclone is expected to be located about 450 kilometres southwest of Ono-i-lau this afternoon.
