A 44-year-old man has been sentenced to two years and six months imprisonment by the Nausori Magistrates Court after being convicted of Conversion.
Vinesh Kumar Singh had an agreement with the complainant to hold their industrial parts, sell them and deposit the money to their bank account.
Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne stated that instead of following the agreement Singh sold the properties and used the amount of $128,613.70 for his personal use.
The offence was committed between May 2015 and September 2015.
A non-parole period of one year and eight months has been set.
