Flood assessments are currently underway in the Western Division as the Commissioner Western leads a team that is collecting information.

National Disaster Management Office Director Anare Leweniqila says assessments are expected to conclude by Thursday.

He says the team is visiting affected areas, making assessments and collecting information from relevant agencies.

The Western Division was badly affected by flooding which was caused by Category 1 Tropical Cyclone Josie over the weekend.
