21-year-old Police Officer Jone Davule of Fiji has lost by a unanimous decision to 30-year-old Louis Colin of Mauritius in the Men’s Boxing 64kg in the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
Winston Hill will fight in the Welterweight division against Lyndel Marcelling of Saint Lucia at 3.17pm Saturday.
Meanwhile, Fiji’s top weightlifter, Manueli Tulo has finished in 4th place in the Clean and Jerk 130kg of the weightlifting competition in the Commonwealth Games.
Fiji last won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Judo in the 2002 through Nacanieli Takayawa at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, England and in 1982 in Brisbane which was won by light heavyweight boxer Sani Fine.
