Around 30,000 people in the Western Division have been directly affected by flooding during the Easter weekend.
This is around 12,000 families.
Commissioner Western Manasa Tagicakibau says this is where flood waters entered their homes and destroyed their livelihoods.
Tagicakibau says around 77,000 people have been indirectly affected in the West where people got affected as bridges were broken, roads were blocked and access was cut off.
He confirms that they have delivered close to 10,000 family food packs across the West as at last night.
Tagicakibau says they will continue to do this until they reach everyone and these packs will sustain people for two weeks before they can get back on their feet.
As at this morning, power and water restoration in the Western Division is 80 percent and Tagicakibau says the primary target is the Ba area as people there need water and power.
He says there are areas in the highlands of Ba that they could not reach because access was cut off due to broken bridges, damaged roads, blocked roads and the FRA is working on it.
He says they want to reach these people quickly.
Tagicakibau has also confirmed that all evacuation centres in the West have been closed as of last night and all schools have been cleared and teams are currently finishing the cleaning work.
The massive emergency operation in the West involves around 120 military personnel, 40 corrections officers, 30 fire officers, volunteers, staff of district offices, advisory councillors, Turaga ni Koros and staff from other government ministries.
Tagicakibau adds that they are thankful to some trucking companies who have given their big trucks for free to assist in the rehabilitation work
He says they are now on standby for the trough of low pressure and the approaching system and he is urging people to refrain from taking risks as we have already lost some lives last weekend.
People in the Western Division can call the Emergency Operations Centre on 6281553 or 8931684 for any help.
