Police will continue their search for a 67-year-old man from Navala, Ba who was swept away by strong currents earlier this morning.
Police Acting Chief of Operations, ACP Maretino Qiolevu has confirmed that the man went missing after he was swept away by strong currents as he was trying to cross the Yaloku Bridge.
Qiolevu has also confirmed that a 59-year-old man has died after he was swept away by strong currents in Tavua.
He says the man went missing in the Nadelei River while crossing the flooded Tabutabu Bridge.
Police say three villagers were able to locate the victim 300 meters away but they could not save him.
