Parents are to use their own discretion whether or not to send their children to school because of the current weather situation.

 

This has been confirmed by the Permanent Secretary for Education, Alison Burchell.

Burchell says school heads can also decide whether they are to open their schools or not based on the location of the school.

Part of Karsanji Road near the Pure Fiji Office is also flooded.

Reservoir Road roundabout was also flooded.

Floodwaters entered five homes in the Veiraisi Settlement in Nadera.
