Two soccer players who have been key members of the Vodafone National soccer team have been tested positive for drug use at the group matches of the Vodafone Fiji FACT.

Fiji Football Association’s CEO Mohammed Yusuf has confirmed this saying 53 players were tested for marijuana and five were tested positive.

Yusuf says one player has re-offended and he is expected to face a lengthy suspension.

The other four are suspended for a month and will be tested again before they can join their teams.

It was confirmed last year that six players are on a lengthy suspension after found tested for marijuana.

These players are serving one and two years suspensions.

Yusuf says they also want drug tests to be done by District Associations and work is continuing in this regard.

Meanwhile, Labasa will play Nadi at 2pm and Rewa will face Lautoka at 4pm this Saturday in the semi-finals of the Vodafone Fiji FACT at Ratu Cakobau Park.
