More penalties have been awarded at the 2018 Fifa World Cup than at any previous event.
A new record was set today, when referee Enrique Caceres gave one to Portugal, then one to Iran during their 1‑1 draw at Mordovia Arena in Russia, the 19th and 20th penalties of the tournament.
According to FIFA, the previous record was 18, set in 1990, 1998, and 2002.
In matches tomorrow, Australia will play Peru at 2am while at the same time France will play Denmark.
Nigeria will play Argentina at 6am while Iceland will play Croatia at the same time.
