Lanky forwards Jasa Veremalua and Leone Nakarawa are the only players in the current Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s squad that played at the 2013 Rugby World Cup in Russia.

Fiji finished in third place after losing to New Zealand 17-0 in the cup semifinals.

Fiji went on to beat Kenya 29-5 in the third place play-off.

National 7s coach Gareth Baber says it will be a selection headache when he will pick his final 12 to play in San Francisco this month.

Baber has been working tirelessly with his players before the big dance from the 21st to the 23rd of this month.

Baber had mentioned that he will take 16 players with him to spend a few days in Utah before flying over to San Francisco.

The players who are currently part of the squad include captain Jerry Tuwai, Vatemo Ravouvou, Amenoni Nasilasila, Kalione Nasoko, Josua Vakurinabili, Paula Dranisinukula, Alasio Naduva, Eroni Sau, Semi Radradra, Semi Kunatani, Leone Nakarawa, Waisea Nacuqu, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Jasa Veremalua, Apenisa Cakaubalavu, Terio Tamani and Josua Tuisova.

The national side will fly out on Tuesday.

Fiji will play either Japan or Uruguay in their first World Cup match on the 21st of this month.
