A 21-year-old woman who was the 3rd victim of a road accident last month in Tavua has passed away due to injuries sustained in the accident.

Police say the woman passed away at the Lautoka Hospital.

Two other people including the driver had earlier passed away due to the accident.

Police had earlier said the first victim was driving a rental car which was heading towards Rakiraki with two others when it allegedly collided with a truck travelling in the opposite direction.
