Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team coach, Gareth Baber says that the training squad has settled well in Utah and have had some training session.

Baber says the team is now getting used to the altitude and the heat in Utah at the moment.

He adds that the players have done some training in the gym and on the field.

Unlike any ordinary 7s tournament in the World Sevens Series, the Rugby World Cup 7s will not follow the pool format where if you lose a game, you can still make the eliminations and possibly go on to win the final.

The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team will only play one elimination game and go straight into the cup quarterfinals.

Fiji’s elimination match will be against either Japan or Uruguay on the 21st of this month at 3.53pm.

Barring any upsets, they will either meet Argentina or Canada in Cup quarterfinals at 10.54am Sunday the 22nd of this month, they will either meet Australia or New Zealand in the cup semifinals at 8.02am Monday the 23rd of this month and will either meet South Africa, England or USA in the final at 12.49pm Monday the 23rd of this month.
