Over 6,000 students now know more about Basketball from clinics run by Basketball Fiji through their Hoops for Health program that was funded by Damodar City and AUSAID.

The Basketball clinic catered for participants between the age of 6-14 years with the aim of providing children with the opportunity of learning basketball and also for the children to be occupied during the school holidays.

The clinic was held at the Damodar City car park and ended yesterday at 4pm.

Basketball Fiji Chief Operating Officer Laisiasa Puamau says that they hope that they will have more clinics like this in the future.

Puamau says that they had spent 10 weeks holding clinics in 17 different secondary schools, and that they had also seen improvements during the Fiji Secondary Schools Basketball Championships.
