Police say the investigation files into the two fatal accident cases recorded in the Northern Division in Vunika and Korotari will be forwarded to DPP once they are completed.
A farmer of Vunika Labasa died on the 10th of this month after he was hit by a truck along Wainikoro Road in Labasa.
Police say the victim was walking along the road when he was allegedly hit by a twelve wheeler truck which was heading towards Labasa Town.
In another case, a 47‑year‑old school teacher is alleged to have caused the death of a 6‑year‑old boy in Korotari Labasa on the 18th of this month.
The suspect was heading towards Naduna when he allegedly hit the victim who is alleged to have suddenly crossed the road.
Police have confirmed both drivers have been questioned and released.
