The driver of the ten wheeler truck was airlifted to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital yesterday following an incident at the Vunisea Jetty in Kadavu on Monday.
The man is admitted at the ICU Ward.
He was driving a ten wheeler truck on Monday afternoon and while trying to reverse on the Vunisea Jetty, he allegedly lost control of the vehicle due to loose gravel causing the truck to plunge into the sea.
There were two other passengers in the truck and all three managed to swim to safety.
The two passengers were treated and sent home.
The driver sustained serious injuries and has been admitted since Monday.
