The Lautoka Magistrates Court has granted bail for a man who was involved in the death of two people last Thursday.
21-year-old Deepal Rai Kumar has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death and one count of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
It is alleged the vehicle Kumar was driving veered off the road and hit a tree at the junction of Natabua and Queens Road last Thursday.
The two deceased men were traveling in the same vehicle.
Kumar has been granted bail bond of $1,000 with two sureties and a stop departure has been issued against him.
The case will be called again on the 4th of February next year for mention.
