2018 has been a very challenging year for me and my family from having transitioned from the court room to parliament and from there back to the court room, from there to prison and then back to parliament.
This was highlighted by SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu while delivering his speech in parliament today adding that he believes God wanted to demonstrate his miracle working power changing their situations from defeat to victory.
Bulitavu also reiterated in parliament the senitment shared by President Jioji Konrote that healthy debate and discussion in parliament, outside of parliament, and in the media should be embraced.
Bulitavu also suggested in parliament that government consider following in the footsteps of our neighbor New Zealand and remove the offence of sedition from our laws.
He also talked about his experience being convicted and his time spent in prison.
Bulitavu also highlighted that some of the partisan pronouncements made in the presidential address by Jioji Konrote were highly explosive, lethally divisive and unfairly conclusive.
Bulitavu says that instead of the state of nation address, it turned out to be a defence statement against the Opposition and for the government as a hangover from the election campaign.
