20‑year‑old Saula Temo who is charged with the alleged murder of Akuila Salavuki has been further remanded by High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar.

The 20‑year‑old has informed court that he is currently serving jail term for theft, and is expected to be released by February next year.

Temo has been charged with one count of murder.

It is alleged that Temo on the 17th of May this year, hit Salavuki on his head with a timber which resulted in his death.

The alleged incident happened on the Fiji Development Bank carpark.

It was highlighted in court today that Temo had no relations with Salavuki and he had met him at a nightclub in Suva.

Temo has pleaded not guilty to his charges.

Justice Goundar has asked Defense in the case to question Temo whether he would prefer pleading guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter.

He has also asked defense to finalize litigating factors.

Temo is represented by Legal Aid. The matter has been adjourned to the 4th of February.
