The Office of the Secretary General to Parliament announced that a condolence book in honor of the late Speaker of Parliament Dr. Jiko Luveni will be open for signature at the Parliament Foyer from 10am to 3pm today and from 10am to 1pm tomorrow.
The Office of the Secretary General to Parliament says that everyone is welcome to leave a message of condolence in this book.
Dr Luveni passed away last Saturday, at the age of 72 after a short illness.
Meanwhile, the Department of Legislature has presented its 'ireguregu' to the family of the late Speaker of Parliament, Dr Jiko Luveni, led by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Assistant Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Veena Bhatnagar, Secretary‑General to Parliament Viniana Namosimalua, Deputy Secretary‑General to Parliament Jeanette Emberson and other parliament staff.
The ‘ireguregu’ will continue at the late Speaker’s residence, at 17 Hamilton Beattie Street, Domain, which begins at 10am.
Doctor Jiko Luveni will be laid to rest this Saturday.
