Farmer alleged to have raped woman in a village in Wainibuka applies for bail

A 40-year-old man who allegedly raped a woman in a village in Wainibuka last month has applied for bail in the Suva High Court.

He is charged with one count of rape.

The farmer is the cousin of the woman.

He has been remanded in custody and the case will be called again on the 26th of this month.
