Young leaders will now have the opportunity to build their knowledge on issues impacting their families and communities at the Pacific Leadership Conference.
While speaking at the opening of the Young Pacific Leadership Conference at GPH in Suva, Public Affairs Officer from the US Consulate in Auckland, Natalie Wilkins says that the conference is about empowering young people and their skills to make a difference in their countries and the world.
Assistant Minister for Youth and Sports Alipate Nagata highlighted that civic development, environment and resource management, education, economic and social development are the 4 issues that is being faced in the region.
Nagata says that this 4 day conference will develop the skills and professional networks of the participants so that they can address the challenges faced in the region.
The Youth Pacific Leaders Conference consists of 45 delegates from 20 Pacific island countries.
