A bench warrant has been issued for Jale Baba who is charged with a count of making a false statement.
Baba’s case was today called before Suva Magistrate, Liyanage Wickramasekara however neither him nor his council, Filimoni Vosarogo made an appearance.
The matter has been adjourned to the 24th of May.
Baba is alleged to have published falsified Voter Lists and other false information related to that list on social networking site Facebook between August and October last year.
He was released on bail on the 26th of October last year.
