Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team Captain Paula Dranisinukula will be leading by example this weekend as he has not had any disciplinary action taken against him heading into the Hong Kong 7s.
Dranisinukula who has played in 87 matches since his debut in the HSBC World 7s series in 2017 has not had a yellow card or red card against him.
Coach Gareth Baber picked Draunisinukula to lead on this basis and his squad members are expected to rise to that standard.
The national captain has a much bigger task at play as he is also preparing 8 of his team mates will be playing for the first time at Fiji’s favorite hunting ground.
They include Napolioni Ratu, Isoa Tabu, Terio Tamani, Meli Derenalagi, Asaeli Tuivoka, Aminiasi Tuimaba, Livai Ikanikoda and Vilimoni Botitu.
Fiji will take on Kenya at 11.37pm Friday in their first pool match of the Hong Kong 7s, they will then take on Australia at 5.13pm Saturday and play their final pool match against New Zealand at 8.55pm Saturday.
The Cup quarterfinals will start at 2.58pm Sunday, Cup semifinals start at 7.41pm Sunday while the Cup final is at 11pm Sunday.
