The Ba Football Association was today given a cheque of $20,000 by the Fiji Football Association and major sponsor Vodafone Fiji.
This is for Ba’s preparation for the OFC Champions League quarterfinal against Hienghene Sport this Saturday.
Fiji FA’s President Rajesh Patel has told the Ba soccer team that they will be the only team from Fiji to fly Fiji’s flag and the onus is on them to prove themselves.
Patel also encouraged players to be good sportsmen on as well as off the field as discipline is important.
Patel has promised Ba FC that more support will be provided when they qualify for the semis.
Earlier this year, Ba and Lautoka Soccer Associations were given $50,000 each for their OFC Champions League group games.
Ba FC will take on Hienghene Sport at 6pm this Saturday in New Caledonia.
