Radio announcer Pio Ratuwaqa has been remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court.
He appeared in court today charged with one count of dangerous driving and one count of driving whilst having alcohol in excess of the prescribed limit.
The DPP's Office will look into whether more charges will be laid based on the findings of the post mortem examination.
The findings reveal the 26 year old woman's death was not directly caused by any injury sustained during the accident.
The woman was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Ratuwaqa who allegedly lost control causing it to veer off the road at Gardner Place in Nasese at 1am Saturday.
Ratuwaqa and the woman were rescued from the vehicle which was partially submerged in water and the woman who was rushed to the CWM Hospital was pronounced dead on arrival.
He will appear in court again on Wednesday.
