Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s Coach Gareth Baber says Fiji has defeated New Zealand in their recent encounter while Australia defeated Fiji, so there will not be a lot to expect from the two teams in this weekend’s Hong Kong 7s.
Australia and New Zealand along with Kenya are pooled with Fiji and Baber says the important part for the team is their mental preparation.
Baber told Fijivillage they are using the same routine of preparation they used in Hong Kong in past two years as they bid for their fifth consecutive win in Hong Kong.
Fiji will take on Kenya at 11.37pm Friday in their first pool match of the Hong Kong 7s, they will then take on Australia at 5.13pm Saturday and play their final pool match against New Zealand at 8.55pm Saturday.
The Cup quarterfinals will start at 2.58pm Sunday, Cup semifinals start at 7.41pm Sunday while the Cup final is at 11pm Sunday.
