The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution says they decided to discontinue the case against SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu and Fiji United Freedom Party leader Jagath Karunaratne because the evidence no longer met the evidential threshold required to take the matter to court for a retrial.
Bulitavu and Karunaratne allegedly spray painted words in different places between Nausori and Suva with the seditious intention of bringing into hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection against the government of Fiji.
They allegedly did this with others between the 1st and 27th of August 2011.
