Minister for Economy and the Chair of the Asian Development Bank Board of Governors, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the progress which we achieve must be grounded in inclusivity.

While making his opening remarks at the ‘30 Under 30' seminar at the 52nd Asian Development Bank annual meeting in Nadi, Sayed-Khaiyum says in truly achieving a sense of unity, the voices of the young people must be at the decision-making table.

He says this generation will take the baton of leadership and run with it.

Sayed-Khaiyum says they will inherit the future that we are working together to create now.

He says when they were looking for success stories of young people, the response was overwhelming.

The ‘30 Under 30: The Faces of Fiji’s Future’ is a panel style discussion that opened with remarks by ADB’s President, Takehiko Nakao, and Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum.

Six panelists, chosen from among the ‘30 Under 30’ winners, engaged in an interactive discussion moderated by Holly Ransom, a world-renowned businesswoman and public speaker.

The panelist included Aakash Sharma, who is a Technical Services Engineer (Power Plants) at Fiji Airways,  Adelene Tutu, who is the founder of Get Lean Fiji,  Alvindra Dutt who works as a Web Engineer at ANZ Pacific Operations,  Melinda Naicker, who is the Manager Internal Audit at Energy Fiji Limited,  Ratu Sitiveni Raseru, who is the Operations Supervisor (Vanua Levu) at Fiji Pine Limited and Winston Hill who is a Commonwealth Games Medalist, and entrepreneur.
