The Ministry for Health has confirmed that health inspectors are analysing results of water samples in the case of possible water contamination at the water source for 35 families living in Waisere Settlement in Naitasiri
It has been noticed by the people that pesticides have been sprayed in the surrounding area of the water source and poses a serious safety risk to the people who rely on this source for cooking, drinking and everyday tasks.
Minister for Health Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete says he will be able to comment further once he has received feedback from the Health Inspectors.
