There has been some confusion amongst some SODELPA members before the party’s AGM starts this morning in Yaroi Village in Savusavu.
This is regarding the nominations for the new office bearers.
Our reporter Iva Danford says before the meeting started this morning, there was an announcement made as some of the SODELPA supporters were filling in the wrong names of people that were nominees to the positions such as the President and the Vice President’s position.
They have been asked to wait for an explanation when the meeting starts later this morning.
Party members will be electing the new SODELPA President, Vice President and General Secretary today.
About 300 people are attending the meeting.
The members will also have a special traditional ceremony to thank outgoing SODELPA President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu for serving the party.
