High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe will deliver his judgment in the rape trial of a former proposed candidate of the National Federation Party next Monday.
The assessors returned with mixed opinions this afternoon.
Two of the assessors found the man guilty of all five counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault. The third assessor found the man not guilty of all counts.
The 66‑year‑old man is alleged to have raped and sexually assaulted his 54‑year‑old sister in law in Nasinu in June last year.
