A 32-year-old man will appear in a special court sitting in the Suva Magistrates Court today for his alleged involvement in the road accident which claimed the life of a 5-year-old girl on Monday afternoon.
He is charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death.
The girl was hit by the bus in Tokotoko, Navua as she and her parents were on their way to a funeral.
Police say it is alleged that the victim had suddenly crossed the road when the accident occurred.
The road death toll currently stands at 60 compared to 66 for the same period last year.
