Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto has assured the public that they are ready to take on the task of rehabilitation after Tropical Cyclone Sarai.
Rear Admiral Naupoto says some of their officers who were on leave have been called back to be on stand-by and they will get more if the need arises.
He says for now they are packing rations for the people that have been affected and are awaiting the final call from National Disaster Management Office regarding distribution.
Rear Admiral Naupoto says the Fiji Navy and the RFMF are working closely with NDMO on the security and safety of the people, and if they have to travel to the Lau Group, they are ready to go.
He adds that they have the manpower to take on the challenge as most people's lives have been badly affected by TC Sarai.
