Police have called off the search operations for a father and his daughter who were reported missing after they were swept away by strong currents while trying to cross the Wainikavou Creek in Serua.

The incident happened on the 16th of this month.

The father was a teacher at Nuku Secondary School.

The matter was reported at the Navua Police Station by the Principal of Nuku Secondary School.

 

The search efforts went on for nine days and a decision has been made to call off the search over the weekend.
