Every public service vehicle driver should have their driver permit card on display for passengers to see.
That is the directive from the Land Transport Authority after it has been noted that there are drivers on the road with fake licences.
Chief Executive Officer Naisa Tuinaceva said the Authority is currently investigating the discovered cases and these drivers will be taken to task.
Tuinaceva said LTA is calling on members of the public to exercise their rights in checking a PSV driver’s ID and drivers who fail to produce their identification upon request by passengers can be taken to task.
He added a thorough check and reporting by the traveling public will assist the Authority in catching the illegal PSV drivers amongst us.
LTA is working very closely with the police department to track down such illegal activities
